This is a "Card" only system, and based on trust.
During Oct - April each year, when you catch a fish, note the weight and length of the fish for your card entries and the fly you caught it on, then the fish can be released if you wish to do so.
You enter your cards in at each general monthly meeting where one card will be drawn out for a voucher from one of our proud sponsors Hunting & Fishing - Invercargill (there is no minimum size so any fish can win).
When you pay your membership subscription for the current year, you will get seven fish cards free (one for each month).
You can enter as many fish cards as you like, extra cards can be purchased from the secretary @ $1 each.
At the Annual General meeting when trophies are given out, all the cards entered during the season, are put in the draw for any remaining prizes donated by our sponsors.
All card details are entered into a database, to eventually find the winner of the following annual trophies.
- Allan White Trophy - for the Heaviest Rainbow Trout
- Bill Brown Trophy - fro the Best condition Factr fish over 3lbs
- Masters Tropy - for the Best Total Weight (this requires one fish to be entered each month Oct-April
- Presidents Trophy - for the Heaviest Brown
